Last day

We had a quiet morning on the last day and then in the afternoon went to The Blue Lagoon. Joel and Susannah went to their adventure park where Joel spent a lot of time peddling a tractor around while the other two boys went swimming with Paul and spent a lot of time on one particularly fun water slide!

Manorbier beach again

We went to Manorbier again, but it was quite cloudy and cold, so we left after a couple of hours.

Manorbier beach

In search of some better waves we went to Manorbier.

The boys all enjoyed body boarding and it was quite sunny so we were able to warm up again afterwards.

We had a morning at home and went to Tenby into the afternoon. We looked around the walled city so that Joel could spend his holiday money, as he hadn't found anything the day before. There were some guys playing pan pipes and singing

You could see the harbour.

We bought some sweets

and then visited the beach again.

After tea the activity was climbing the hill up to the house

Painting Pottery

We spent the day in Haverfordwest while the boys tried very hard to spend their holiday money. We had a lunch at a cafe where you could paint pottery.

Beach and castle

We went to Tenby south beach and did a lot of beachy activities – trying out our inflatable boat in the sea, exploring the caves in the cliff, eating ice cream, playing cricket.

After tea we went for a walk to the nearby castle in Narberth. On the way we came across some sheep and Joel collected the wool they had left behind.

The castle was quite ruined.

Travelling to Wales

We arrived in Pembrokeshire but were too early to go into the cottage so we went to Tenby to have a look around. We parked at the North beach car park, but found that it was a long walk to the beach from there so we headed to the cottage.

After tea we some of us went exploring near the cottage. There was a field behind the house with a hut at the edge of it.

Joel picked some wheat for a souvenir.

We found a concrete bunker at the edge of a stream, which was explored further during the week.

Up the lane we came across a couple of horses
