Callum's eyes

Callum was discharged from the orthoptist this week. That means that they aren't going to see him again and no more patching! His eyesight isn't perfect, but it's good enough for driving, when the time comes.

Summer holidays

We've got lots of plans for the summer holidays. Lots of places to visit, and a bit of decorating to do. Will we fit it all in?

Swingballdon

One of the presents received during the birthday celebrations over the weekend (Shrek 3 visit plus party) was a swingball set. So now we have swingballdon matches. Even doubles works well.

Birthday season

It's the week of the year when we have three family birthdays. Callum is last and can't wait for his. I'm not so fussed.

Football in the garden

With the fine weather the males of the household often play football in the garden. The traditional teams are the oldest and the youngest against the other two. The oldest is in goal, which leaves the youngest tackling his brothers. In order to even things up a bit we are evolving some rules because saying, "give your brother a chance" doesn't work.

Our rules are:
if the ball crosses the goal line off the ground it doesn't count (helps keep the ball in the garden)
goalies can't score from their area
the goalie for the middle two can't cross the half way line

This does help a bit in evening things up. It would be nice if we had a park within 5 minutes walking distance. We have two at least 10 minutes away, which is a bit much.

Our photo album. I'm running out of disk space so I've had to reduce photo quality unfortunately. Time to find another place to show them!

New Year

The boys got some really nice presents for Christmas. Two lots of Knex and a micro-Scalextrix which the whole family enjoys.
We also got the thankyou letters out in good time, which doesn't always happen.
