New photos in our photo album

I've put some more photos in our photo album. Some of these our in our Christmas letter, which should go to press today.

One of the players on the Saturday morning football team that Callum plays for scored a goal - the first of the season. So at some point they'll be going to MacDonalds to celebrate. Next milestone - winning a match!

Joel has lost his first tooth and has another wobbly one.

Callum is going to have his first trumpet lesson next week.

Ben, er, is doing OK!

Back to school

It's that time of year again, when the weather suddenly gets really sunny after a changeable August - yes, the children are back in school.

Joel now has a blazer, just like his brothers. All three boys were glad to see their friends again after the summer.

Cornwall holiday

We've just got back from our camping holiday in Cornwall. It was a little damp from the middle onwards, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We went to Castle Drogo, where I took the picture above (this isn't the real castle, but a play castle in the grounds). We managed to get to the beach on three days, but none of them were particularly warm. Sandcastles were constructed though, and the bodyboards got a bit of use.

We were also pleasantly surprised to meet some old friends down there too, which was a bonus. We spent a day with them during the week.

New pictures

I went to update the pictures on our photo album and realised I hadn't done it for a year. So it's worth visiting it now to see some updated pictures. Our main website home page still has out of date pictures, but I'll update those another time.

Summer is here. You probably knew that anyway, unless you're in the southern hemisphere in which case it's winter.

Susannah and the boys spent a week at Lighthouse High Wycombe. Susannah was helping with the four year olds. It was the first year it has taken place at Wycombe (in the past we've been involved with Lighthouse Hazlemere) and it didn't go too badly considering.

Now we're waiting until we go away on holiday, soon.

Joel is full time

Joel has been full-time at school since Easter. He's quite tired, but he's enjoying it. The purchase of a swingball/volleyball/badminton set has given us great fun in the garden with the nicer weather.

Callum's eyes

Callum had an eye test earlier this week. His eyesight is fairly stable - his prescription hasn't changed, and significantly better compared to when his eye problems were first diagnosed. We are very pleased.

Church visit

We visited our old church the other week. It was good to see people again. It's over a year since we all went and so it was interested to see how peoples' children have all grown that little bit.

Ben is in an ensemble

Ben has got to the stage with his trombone playing that his teacher felt he would be up to playing in an Ensemble at our local music centre. He's been twice now. He found it hard at first, especially as he doesn't know all the notes, but he's really enjoying it now. He just doesn't play the notes he doesn't know!

Callum has stopped patching recently as well. He's got to the stage where it won't do any good and his eyesight is acceptable.

The boys have just had a quiet half term and are back into the swing of school now.

Joel at school

Joel has been at school for a couple of weeks now. He's only going in the mornings, which is good because he's getting very tired.
